Wasatch Recreation Center COVID-19 Update

June 23, 2020

-Hours of operation will be 6am-8pm Monday through Friday.  All areas will be available for use during open hours.

-It is preferred that patrons make a no-cost reservation at least 2 hours prior to coming to the Rec Center.  If there are no reservations, and no one in the facility, doors may close earlier than 8pm.

-Walk-in patrons are welcome as long as there is an open area for them to play.

-As much as possible, every individual’s activities with other patrons will be recorded for contact tracing.

-Patrons must be at least 15 years of age unless under the supervision of an adult 18 years or older.

-Since the reservations are free, all patrons will pay the standard entry fee or use their membership.  Credit

or debit card is the preferred method of payment.

-Memberships that were active as of March 4, 2020 will have 65 days added to the expiration date.

-Staff will ask patrons about Covid-19 symptoms and exposure as well as take each individual’s temperature upon entering the Rec Center.

-Staff will record the time and name of each individual entering the Rec Center indicating each patron’s acceptance of the liability waiver and commitment to adhere to all the policies.  Waiver will be posted for patrons to read.  To review the waiver beforehand, please see the Parks and Rec website www.wasatchparksandrec.com

- Basketball courts and turf fields will be limited to 10 or fewer people.  Tennis and pickleball will be limited to 4 people per court.  The Parks and Recreation Department recommends that racquetball be limited to 2 people per court.

-Staff will also record the time that patrons leave the facility.

-It is recommended that high risk individuals continue to maintain high standards of social distancing regardless of these less restrictive policies.

-We ask that all patrons adhere to these guidelines for their own protection.  The Recreation Center is on limited staff at this time and are unable to stringently monitor patrons once they have entered and completed the symptom check.
